Executive Experience
I have experience to Chief Executive level with a broad background in operations, finance and administration.
My executive experience includes the development, improvement and implementation of organisational culture, strategy, structures and systems. With this perspective, I provide oversight and challenge to management thinking through a results-based approach which focuses on key deliverables to ensure ongoing organisational improvement.
I have experience in developing teams and mentoring individuals. In facilitating and leading teams I understand the importance of a positive culture, with clear value drivers, to underpin collective accountability and the delivery of results. I provide strong, direct leadership which embraces collaboration.
My systems approach improves performance by implementing standard processes which make staff structures, operational processes and compliance controls safe and efficient. I have successfully overviewed the accreditation achievement of ISO standards, the ACC Workplace Safety Management Programme, SiteWise Green, Impac, NZTA Operator Rating System and the WorkSafe Safety Star Rating Scheme.
I have had a wide range of exposure working in the local authority, corporate, SME and large company spheres. I have experience in project, operational, financial and executive management, as well as the interaction between management and governance functions.
My management experience is recognised as a Member of RiskNZ and the Business Leaders' Health and Safety Forum.
I gained my B.A. from Canterbury University in 1999 and graduated with Honours from Massey University in 2005. I have also completed leadership development training from NZIM and the Dale Carnegie Institute, as well as customer and negotiation training.
